our annual trip to shing wako on lake edward...
july 21-26, 2012
paddle boating right away
the great beach and shallow lake
"grandpa" pat with his schweigert inflatable with the kids
everyone for themselves
fun on the hammock
max and abby getting ready to tube
kenya and chaya tubing, they each took a couple of spills. thanks to pat for keeping it interesting.
gibson...
snowcones or cupcakes? our edible craft, cupcakes that look like snowcones.
yummy!
sharpie highlighter tie-dying. fun to do, but not my favorite.
we interrupt this vacation up north for a very important announcement:
drew gilmore is being sworn in as a plymouth police officer!
our entire family drove two plus hours each way to make it to this very important event. well worth the drive!
police chief goldstein had very impressive and positive words about drew
let's eat! (this is really what the girls wanted)
whew! let's take a breather with some pictures
the gilmore kiddos
proud parents
drew was able to give us a tour of the station
this will be the only time these girls will be in the back seat of a squad car!
back up north for more adventures. this year we decided not to do the turtle races. instead we made a day of it in a nearby town of crosslake. starting here at a historic village, then to a couple of parks, rec center for some bb and vb, and maybe the best ice cream at crafts and cones!
this is an old school bus/sleigh
down by the river sporting their new shirts
our last morning was spent fishing, crafting, and making campfire (inside) doughnuts!
so much fun with the gilmores and harrisons.
see you next summer!
