Celebrate

on saturday, april 25, my parents came to hutchinson for a bit of a birthday celebration. my mom and i have birthdays just two days apart (26 and 28) so it has always been special to have them so close together. it was great to see both of them - their visits are never long enough. we concluded the day with dinner out!

guess what??

that's right, gibson lost her first top tooth on easter sunday and followed up on monday after school losing her other front tooth. seriously, i'm almost a little grossed out from pulling all her teeth in such a short amount of time. unfortunately, the tooth fairy didn't have any money on sunday night, so she'll be getting double on monday. hee hee. gibson doesn't feel the best, but man was she excited - she talks pretty cute almost with a lisp.

we spent the afternoon with great grandma nana (or as chaya put it, grandma banana) the girls enjoyed showing off their cake, too. what a special day.

the girls colored the cococnut grass, while mom carefully frosted. it was chaya's idea to put on eyelashes and the girls all agreed it needed a belly button. dad of course put his two cents in, too!
