we all fit together

this halloween, dad came up with a puzzle idea for costumes. the girls were hesitant at first, but finally decided that it would be ok. this might be the first and only halloween we can get the girls to coordinate. here are few pictures from the evening. we did trick-or-treat at the mall first, but then headed to some friendly neighbors.
waiting with anticipation

all smiles and excitement

gibson and chaya took turns ringing doorbells

look at all that candy. notice chaya's sad face, about 1/2 way through the trick-or-treating she kept complaining her throat hurt, she was trying so hard to put a smile on. it turns out, we got home and she had a fever and all she wanted to do was go to bed. (poor thing, she is the girl who can't get enough candy and now she didn't even feel like sorting it)

all sorted up - the girls each got to keep 15 pieces and the rest is being dropped off at the dentist where they will be sending it over seas to the troops, in return the girls will get some kind of other special surprise?

craft time: halloween luminaries

costume time: halloween puzzle

moa: here we come!
winners of most original costume in their group. they each won a goodie bag, which included a wristband for our next visit to nickelodeon universe!

hmm, how did i get on the splat-o-sphere? i only agreed to go on it for the girls, i didn't even get to sit next to them. do you notice how wet my pants are? that happens to be from the log chute that i previously got roped in to going on.

look what's new

a few weeks ago, drew and gibson were invited to attend a minnesota gopher's football game with uncle brent and mairin. they have season tickets, but this was a first for drew and gibson. it was a bit chilly, but still a nice day. the girls got some awesome face painting and it was a special day just for gibson and dad! oh, and the gopher's lost miserably.

 my favorite picture

gibson now needs to wear a patch everyday for 3-4 hours after school. this is to slowly correct her lazy eye. she is patching her "good" eye and forcing her other eye to work. they come in all sorts of cute motifs, this one has ladybugs on it. my personal favorite is the black and white cow.

we did a "cousin swap" this past weekend. kenya headed to amelia's for her birthday party and a sleepover and mairin came to hang with us for the weekend.

three little blondes squirmin' in the bed

gibson is suppose to be doing something purposeful with her patching, so we thought it would be fun to buy a new puzzle. this one was 300 pieces and fun for mairin, as she is heading to disney world next week!

cousin power - the girls got to bejewel some bracelets!
