belated valentines

okay, i'm officially losing it. i took all these pictures over the course of valentine's day week, thinking how fun it would be to put on our blog. however, after the weekend, i thought i lost my sd card with all the pictures on it. hence, the lateness.

better late than never, we are sending all our hearts and love your way!

one thing the girls and i love to do around valentine's day is to use the heart cookie cutter and "play" with our food. (ok, maybe it is mom that likes to play :) grilled cheese sandwiches.

on saturday, the girls and i went to waconia's community center for playground fun and swimming. here are a few of my favorite pics.

the girls had a great time.

then, saturday night, drew and i had a hot date. okay, more like cold. i took drew to richardson nature center in bloomington for candlelight and chocolate. we hiked a 3/4 mile candlelit path (we went around twice) and then sort of indulged in a chocolate sampler.

this is us trying to take a picture during our walk - we took about 5 to get one that looked ok. drew was completely embarrassed. :)

here is the view from the trail looking back at the center. it was a great night, the stars were out and we had our foot and hand warmers to make it even warmer.

here is the plate of chocolate goodies. i love that drew's hand is sneaking a bite during the picture. inside the building, tables were set up all around and there was an acoustic band playing for entertainment.

very unique and fun experience, we will definitely do something like this again.
